New Look for New Year

I have been working on new looks for my buttons. No I’m not talking about new store looks. I’m talking about buttons.

As you can see, I use to take pictures of  buttons. It’s good but takes alot of time taking, cropping and editing the pictures. But that’s not the reason I stopped doing it. I needed to make the buttons in order to take pictures. No big deal except as my button offering got larger and larger, the inventory control became a huge problem. I didn’t (and still don’t) have a 1000 slot storage bin/container nor a space to put the bin.

So I made a transparent layer. I was happy with it and thought it looked good. I visited alot of places that sell buttons and mine looked as good as theirs. As time goes by, however, I felt that the buttons looked somewhat flat. Plus, I started to dislike how my white background buttons looked like (they looked too fake-y to me).

So I made another transparent layer. This time more bubbly and 3-D like look, at least I think. I have been changing to the new look past 18 days (basically since the new year). I think I’m about 40% done now. This is very boring, mind numbing, tedious and possibly carpal tunnel syndrome inducing process (got that tingling sensation). The plan was to finish it by now, but obvious it’s impossible. I think I’m going to go little slow and push back the dead line to early February.
